The ₹20 oracle
Ask your auto driver for his single best piece of life advice. Tip ₹20 for it. Write it down. Collect ten over a month.
How to do it
- Ask at the end of a ride, once you have paid the fare, so it does not feel like a negotiation.
- Hand over the ₹20 on top of the fare and write the advice down before you get out of the auto.
- Keep the ten pieces in one note or notebook, with the date and the part of town.
- Not every driver will want to chat. Thank them and try again on the next ride.
