Take one broken thing (umbrella, chappal, watch, zip) to a street repair-wala instead of replacing it. Watch the entire fix. Tip double.
How to do it
- Pick one broken thing you were about to throw out: an umbrella, a chappal, a watch strap or a zip.
- Look for a street repairer under a tree or beside a footpath. Ask the price before you hand it over.
- Stay and watch the whole repair.
- Pay the quoted price and tip the same amount on top.
