The 7pm bell
Follow the sound of a bell to the nearest tiny neighbourhood temple aarti. Stand at the back. Accept whatever prasada comes your way.
How to do it
- Be outside around 6:45 pm and listen. Pick the nearest bell and walk toward it.
- Take your footwear off at the entrance and stand quietly at the back. Phones stay away.
- Take the prasada with your right hand if it is offered, and eat it.
- Do not photograph the deity or the priests.
