Learn the auto flick
Master the exact lazy wrist-flick locals use to stop an auto. Practice until one actually stops. No raised arm allowed.
How to do it
- Stand at the kerb on a road with passing autos, and watch how locals do it. The hand stays low and the wrist does the work.
- Practise the flick on empty autos with the meter flag up.
- Count a success only when an auto slows or stops for the flick alone.
- Have a destination ready, or just say thanks and wave it on.
